    Care info

Sun: The Bird of Paradise enjoys bright sunlight. Place it in your brightest room or near a window where it receives filtered, indirect light.

Water: Keep the soil moist in spring and summer, watering generously once the top 3" have dried. During fall and winter, use caution not to overwater. Reduce the frequency, watering after the soil has dried at least 75% down.

Air: Mimic a tropical environment with temperatures between 65º-85º and a high moisture content. You can provide a regular boost of humidity by:

    • Adding a humidifier nearby
    • Creating a pebble tray that lives underneath the pot
    • Misting the leaves 3-5x per week with non-tap water

Keep out of reach from curious pets. These are toxic when ingested.

What Health Benefits Does This Plant Provide?

Active exposure to and care for plants has many proven wellbeing benefits, such as:

    • Lower stress levels

    •Improved mood

    • Superior mental clarity and focus

Houseplants are excellent air purifiers. They cleanse the air of indoor toxins, produce oxygen, and their humidifying capabilities will help you sleep + breathe better. Keep their leaves free of dust for optimal photosynthesis and oxygen production.

    Plant Lifecycle

The Bird of Paradise lives a stunning, healthy life well over 50 years with proper care. These can grow 6+ feet indoors, with each new leaf stretching taller than the last. We recommend regularly wiping the leaves clean of dust.

To extend its life, use high quality soil that is both well-draining and retains moisture. Fertilize during the growing season for lush, healthy growth. Planters with a drainage hole are recommended.
