Mimic a tropical environment with temperatures between 65º-85º and a high moisture content. Provide a regular boost of humidity by:

  • Misting the leaves 4-6x per week with non-tap water
  • Adding a humidifier nearby
  • Creating a pebble tray that lives underneath the pot
  • Placement in a bathroom or kitchen, if lighting is suitable

Keep out of reach from curious pets. These are toxic when ingested.

Native to tropical rainforests of South America and a variation of the Philodendron Rojo Congo, the Philodendron Birkin flaunts green leaves with fascinating paint strokes of cream variegations. The thick stems keep each leaf perky and upright under proper care. The Birkin’s round leaves with pointed tips have been known to grow with shades of cream or red. Growing up to 3 feet in height, the slow growth is made up for by its beautiful, life-giving appearance.

We recommend a ceramic planter with a drainage hole to provide ideal moisture balance for your Philodendron Prince of Orange. When repotting, keep your plant in a planter of the same size or no more than 2 inches larger.

Ideal soil is a high-quality, well-draining mix with aerating and moisture-retaining amendments such as perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir.

Nature is unique - each plant may vary slightly from the plant shown here. Ceramic planters are sold separately.
