Care Info

The Philodendron Cordatum prefers bright and indirect light, though they also thrive in medium to low light conditions.
Keep soil slightly moist and water once the soil has dried about halfway. They are forgiving but appreciate consistent waterings. Reduce frequency during fall and winter.
Mimic a tropical environment with temperatures between 65º-85º and a high moisture content. Provide a regular boost of humidity by:
  • Adding a humidifier nearby
  • Creating a pebble tray that lives underneath the pot
  • Placement in a bathroom or kitchen, if lighting is suitable
  • Misting the leaves 2-4x per week with non-tap water
Keep out of reach from curious pets. These are toxic when ingested.
The Philodendron Cordatum grows many trailing vines with heart-shaped, jade-colored leaves. Native to tropical climates in Brazil, these can trail or climb with support. Depending on the conditions, their leaves will grow petite or up to 3” large.
Their versatility to trail, hang, and climb make them a beautiful accent for any room.

We recommend a 7-inch ceramic planter with a drainage hole to provide ideal moisture balance for your Philodendron Cordatum. When repotting, keep your Cordatum in a planter of the same size or no more than 2 inches larger.
Ideal soil is a well-draining mix with aerating and moisture-retaining amendments such as sand, bark, and/or perlite.

Nature is unique - each plant may vary slightly from the plant shown here. Ceramic planters are sold separately.
