Calathea Fusion
SUN |
The Calathea Fusions' beautiful leaf markings are sensitive to proper light exposure. Medium or filtered bright light is ideal. Avoid bright window sills and west-facing windows. Low light will discourage variegation. |
WATER |
Keep soil consistently moist but not wet. Water well when the topsoil has dried 1-2 inches, allowing it to drain out. Use room temperature, non-tap water, and reduce frequency through fall and winter. |

AESTHETIC |
The Fusion is a rare hybrid from Malaysia that grows ornate, green, and cream leaves from pink stems. In the wild, Calatheas grow under the filtered sunlight of the rainforest canopy. With proper indoor light conditions, they will grow and maintain their marbled variegations. Similarly, providing high humidity will preserve the wavy leaves' vibrant appearance. Each night, Calathea leaves fold up, then open again in response to daylight, a fascinating act called nyctinasty. Indoors, Calatheas can grow up to 4 feet tall. |

OUR RECS |
We recommend a ceramic planter with a drainage hole to provide ideal moisture balance for your Calathea Fusion. Ideal soil amendments include combining coco coir, sand, and/or perlite with your standard potting mix. |
